Buy One, Or...
I was introduced to ACN in March 2009. Since my motto has always been, "Don't buy it unless it sells itself", so the experiential thing to do was to build a mobile videophone case to faciliate "hands-on" experiences for potential customers and those who would want to become business associates.
I met a guy named, Paul, who assembles videophone cases and you can buy a videophone case from him here, Paul's Website.
Or, you can hire me to build you a videophone case.
The videophone and the aircard are not included, but you can purchase those from yourself and add 5 points to your business.
The router and the battery are only included new in the boxes from the router and battery manufacturers, however I don't take responsibility for electronics that I didn't build myself.
The flat speaker is included, but the 80GB Apple Video iPod is not.
If you want to purchase your own router and battery from Cradlepoint and Tekkeon, then you can just buy the actual videophone case from me.
Or...
Here are some instructions just in case you would like to build one yourself.
The videophone case shown in the website header image is the first case I made and not the excellent 3rd model that I built. New photos coming soon.
Purchase some black, heavy duty elastic ($5) and some of that Stanley hot glue gun ($15).
Cut a strap length of the elastic so that it runs from one side of the inside of the Slappa case to the other side, running over the Iris 3000 in the middle, right behind the video screen and underneath the handset, so that it snuggly holds the Iris 3000 in place.
Use a small dab of hot glue to secure both ends of the elastic to the inside bottom of the Slappa case..
Then, take a thin foam wedge and use hot glue to adhere the foam wedge underneath the Iris 3000, so that the Iris 3000 is tilted up in the front and the keypad more accessible for dialing
Cut two (2) more pieces of elastic to be used for lid hinges, so that the Slappa case lid doesn't fall so far backwards.
Use hot glue to attach the elastic lid hinges to the Slappa case .
The Tekkeon battery comes with a tight, sturdy sleeve.
Use hot glue to adhere the Tekkeon battery sleeve to the inside of the Slappa case lid.
Or there should be enough room for the Tekkeon battery to fit behind the Iris 3000 in the left rear of the Slappa case bottom if you position the Iris 3000 all the way to the right front of the Slappa case bottom.
The Tekkeon battery will need a 5V USB cellphone charger cord ($15) to connect & power the CradlePoint wireless router.
The Tekkeon power cord runs the Iris 3000 at a selectable 12V at the same time.
This way, you have no worries about splitters or differing amperage.
The NXT flat speaker is optional and needs a male RCA to female audio adapter ($5) to attach to the Iris 3000.
I use the speaker in my mobile case and with my Iris 3000 at home.
I also use my speaker in conjunction with my Video iPod that I use to play all the ACN Training & Lifestyle videos when someone asks me about the business.
The Video iPod fits nicely in the upper deck of the Slappa case.
Want to add an 80GB Apple iPod loaded with all the best ACN Training & Lifestyle videos?
Buy one at Amazon.com for as low as $139 used and I'll send you a download link for the mp4 video files.
Email me if you do not want to make one of these mobile videophone cases by yourself.
The price is $700, shipped overnight (upon building) in the continental US.
Or save a few bucks and spend lots of time by doing it yourself.
